Design-Build Process

At Butler Creek Development, we’ve simplified the path to your new home. Our semi-custom approach offers the perfect balance of personalization, efficiency, and quality craftsmanship — letting you choose your ideal floor plan, lot, and finishes from our curated design selections.

Choose Your Floor Plan

Select from our curated portfolio of semi-custom home designs.
Each plan has been thoughtfully created by our design team to balance style, livability, and function. Whether you prefer open-concept living, main-level convenience, or luxury entertaining spaces — we’ll help you choose the plan that fits your lifestyle.

Select Your Lot

Find the perfect location for your home.
Work with our team to explore available lots within West Pointe. We’ll help you evaluate views, orientation, and site-specific features to ensure your home sits perfectly within its surroundings.
 
Once you’ve chosen your preferred lot, you’ll sign our Lot Reservation Agreement to secure it and lock in your place in the build schedule. This step ensures your selected homesite is held exclusively for you while final design selections and pricing are completed.

Customize Your Design Palette

Personalize your home through our curated interior and exterior finish selections.
Choose from professionally designed palettes featuring coordinated colors, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, and fixtures. Our design team will guide you through the process to ensure your selections complement your floor plan and reflect your personal style.

Finalize Your Build Price & Agreement

Review your selections and receive a detailed, transparent build price.
We’ll provide a clear cost summary, outline your inclusions and allowances, and finalize your build agreement. Once your selections and lot are confirmed, you’ll sign your New Residence Construction Agreement to secure your construction start.

Begin Building Your Home (8–10 Months)

Watch your vision come to life.
From groundbreaking to move-in, our team handles every detail with precision and communication. Typical build duration is 8–10 months, depending on design complexity and seasonality.
 

Construction Milestones:

  • Site prep, foundation, and framing

  • Roofing, windows, and exterior finishes

  • Mechanical systems, insulation, and drywall

  • Cabinets, flooring, and trim

  • Final finishes, walkthrough, and move-in

Post-Construction Care

Our commitment continues after move-in. We provide:

  • 1-Month Warranty Walkthrough: Fine-tune finishes and ensure everything performs as expected.

  • 11-Month Warranty Walkthrough: Address any final warranty items before the first year ends.

  • Luxury Home Maintenance Program: Optional seasonal services to preserve your home’s long-term quality.
