Andrew Weigand

Owner & CEO

Andrew Weigand is the founder and CEO of Butler Creek Development, bringing over 15 years of experience in construction, engineering, and residential development. A graduate of the University of Arizona, Andrew holds a BS in Civil Engineering and a MS in Structural Engineering with an emphasis on innovative design and construction.

Before returning to Missoula, Andrew worked across the U.S. with Chicago Bridge and Iron, one of the world’s largest engineering, procurement, and construction firms. His experience in large-scale projects provided a deep understanding of precision, efficiency, and quality—skills that he has carried into every custom home built by Butler Creek Development.

A Passion for Custom Homebuilding

Andrew’s passion lies in the design-build process, where he transforms a client’s vision into a meticulously crafted home. He takes pride in guiding homeowners through every stage—from conceptual design to final walkthrough—ensuring that their home reflects both their lifestyle and the unique character of Circle H Ranch. His personal experience living in Circle H Ranch has given him a deep understanding of the benefits, challenges, and unique aspects of building in this community. That firsthand knowledge is applied to every custom home design, making each residence even better suited to its surroundings.

The Butler Creek Development Difference

Unlike other builders who move from project to project, Butler Creek Development is deeply rooted in Missoula, focusing exclusively on two subdivisions: Circle H Ranch and West Pointe. This means that our on-site attention, quality control, and client relationships are unparalleled. More than just a contractor, Butler Creek Development remains an ongoing resource and neighbor, providing continued support and expertise long after move-in.

With a dedicated team of craftsmen and professionals, Andrew ensures that every project upholds the company’s high standards of quality, communication, and craftsmanship. Butler Creek Development has been recognized for its excellence, including the 2019 MBIA Parade of Homes “Most Livable Floor Plan” and “Craftsmanship” Awards—a testament to the thoughtful design and meticulous execution that define our homes.

Beyond Construction

When he’s not on a job site or working with clients, Andrew enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Danielle, and their two young children, Charlotte and Tripp. Whether it’s downhill skiing, hiking, fishing, or hunting, he embraces all that Montana has to offer.

A Commitment to Clients & Community

At Butler Creek Development, we take pride in making the home-building process transparent, engaging, and rewarding. Our detailed and client-focused approach ensures clear expectations, smooth execution, and a final product that exceeds expectations. For Andrew, the most rewarding part of the job is seeing clients step into their dream home, knowing that every detail has been tailored to their lifestyle.

As both a builder and a resident of Circle H Ranch, Andrew is committed to creating homes that enhance the community, ensuring that every homeowner enjoys not only a well-built house but also a thriving neighborhood.

Ben Bymaster

Project Manager & Head of Operations

With a background in mechanical engineering, business, and finance, Ben Bymaster brings a strategic and detail-oriented approach to homebuilding. As Project Manager and Head of Operations, he oversees every aspect of construction, ensuring that each project runs smoothly from concept to completion.

Ben’s experience in construction began early, working on remodels and summer construction jobs throughout his teens and college years. After earning his degree, he transitioned into large-scale project management, where he developed the ability to coordinate complex builds while maintaining precision and efficiency.

A Passion for Thoughtful Homebuilding

For Ben, construction is more than just a career—it’s a creative and hands-on passion that allows him to build homes that last for generations. He thrives on the challenge of balancing client dreams, budgets, and design goals to create homes that are as functional as they are beautiful.

One of Ben’s most rewarding projects was a Chief Joseph home where the clients initially felt anxious after hearing horror stories about custom home builds. Through clear communication, transparency, and attention to detail, Ben and his team turned their doubts into excitement. When the homeowners expressed disbelief at how smoothly everything went, Ben knew they had delivered something truly special.

The Butler Creek Development Difference

Ben believes that Butler Creek Development stands apart due to its “Lifecycle Building” approach—a philosophy that extends beyond construction. From early collaboration with clients, architects, and designers to budget clarity and post-construction maintenance, Butler Creek remains a long-term partner in every homeowner’s journey.

Unlike builders who move from one project to the next, Ben and his team live and work in the same communities they build in. The client relationship doesn’t end at move-in—homeowners become neighbors, and Butler Creek Development is there to ensure that their homes stand the test of time.

Beyond Construction

When he’s not managing projects, Ben enjoys hunting, cooking, and barbecuing, but above all, he prioritizes time with his wife, Hannah, and their two young sons, Jude and Asher. His perfect weekend includes hiking, camping, and teaching his boys new skills, followed by a quiet moment with his wife once the kids are asleep.

Ben’s journey with Hannah started in calculus class at 18, proving that love can indeed be found in the most unexpected places!

Advice for Homeowners

Ben encourages first-time custom home builders to choose a team they trust—this process is personal, complex, and exciting, and having the right builder makes all the difference. His advice? Do your research, ask for references, and make sure your vision aligns with your builder’s approach.

Committed to Excellence

For Ben, homebuilding isn’t just about construction—it’s about building relationships, delivering quality, and exceeding expectations. He takes pride in the lifelong connections formed with clients, knowing that every home he helps create is a lasting part of their story.

Welcome to Circle H Ranch—where passion meets craftsmanship, and your dream home becomes reality.

A Builder at Heart

From an early love of LEGO sets to a lifelong passion for woodworking and homebuilding, Alex has always found joy in creating things with his hands. For him, there’s nothing more rewarding than transforming a client’s sketch or idea—sometimes scribbled on a napkin—into a beautiful, tangible part of their home.

He thrives on solving problems before they start, using sharp visualization skills and out-of-the-box thinking to foresee issues and develop unique solutions. One of his favorite kinds of projects? Any that involve ropes, pulleys, and a challenge—like the recent faux beam installations that pushed his creativity and craftsmanship to new heights.

The Butler Creek Experience

Alex describes Butler Creek Development as one of the most supportive and inspiring environments he’s ever worked in. “Quality craftsmanship is an active choice, made again at every step,” he says—and that’s a value the entire team shares. He feels empowered to try new techniques, experiment with solutions, and is consistently backed by a team that values integrity and excellence.

Beyond the Job Site

When he’s not at work, Alex is usually rock climbing, kayaking, woodworking, or playing board games with friends. A fan of adventure and discovery, his favorite weekends are spent backpacking into the unknown and camping under the stars.

After growing up in Oklahoma and Colorado, Alex appreciates the clean air and wide-open spaces of Montana, which have also helped ease health issues from his youth.

Client-Focused Craftsmanship

Alex has a natural talent for bridging the gap between theoretical design and practical application, asking the right questions at the right time to ensure style, function, and craftsmanship align.

He especially enjoys working with clients at Circle H Ranch, who are often deeply appreciative of the care and detail that goes into their homes. “It’s fulfilling to do work that fits my perfectionist tendencies and to be truly valued for it,” he shares.

Advice for Future Homeowners

Alex encourages clients to never be afraid to ask questions and to never settle for something they’re not satisfied with. His goal is to help bring their ideas to life in a way that feels intentional, beautiful, and enduring.

Whether he’s crafting intricate finish work or solving complex installation challenges, Alex brings dedication, creativity, and craftsmanship to every project—making him an essential part of the Butler Creek team.
